In this episode, hosts Preach and Brandon discuss the crucial topic of pastoral expectations and how congregations can better support their pastors. They begin with a word of prayer and dive into the importance of unity in the body of Christ. This episode explores the realistic expectations we should have of our pastors, such as teaching God's word, equipping believers for ministry, and modeling Christ-like behavior, while also acknowledging what pastors are not, including being available at all hours or being a perfect representation of God. With sobering statistics on pastoral burnout and mental health, this episode aims to provide encouragement and practical advice for congregations to help alleviate some of the pressures pastors face.
